Living in the Last Days

Living in the Last Days

We live in good times but it’s easy to question that sentiment. Scandals, natural disasters and pandemics abound. But we know these are good times because we are in the Last Days.

Living in the last days means we enjoy a life of repentance. A life of repentance means turning away from the ways of this world and embracing God’s promises which renew and refresh daily. It doesn’t get much better than that!

May we remember our time here is always a blessing as we embrace God’s patience and love.

The sermon text is taken from Matthew 24,

Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”

Prayer during a pandemic:

Almighty God, heavenly Father, give us grace to trust You during this time of illness and distress. In mercy put an end to the pandemic that afflicts us. Grant relief to those who suffer, and comfort all that mourn. Sustain all medical personnel in their labors, and cause Your people ever to serve You in righteousness and holiness; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
